Presenter Information

Oral presentation notes for RERTR-2018
Oral presentations should be 15 minutes in length plus a few minutes for Q&A with the audience.

Posters should be sized 4'x6'.

Registration

Registration and an Opening Reception will be held at the meeting venue on Sunday, November 4, 2018. Registration will be held from 4:30 to 6 pm. A hosted reception is planned from 6 to 8 pm.

Tour

International Nuclear Services (INS, United Kingdom) has graciously offered to host technical tours of the Pacific Egret, a new INF3-class shipping vessel operated by Pacific Nuclear Transport LTD (PNTL) for INS. PNTL uses dedicated vessels such as the Pacific Egret to transport spent fuel, MOX fuel assemblies and vitrified high-level waste between Japan and Europe.

Multiple tours of the Pacific Egret are planned the afternoon of Wednesday, November 7 and morning of Thursday, November 8 to accommodate up to one hundred RERTR-2018 participants. Tours will be led by a PNTL Captain along with an officer and INS present throughout and will include the Bridge, security measures, physical protection equipment, Lifeboat, hold spaces and package tie-down arrangements, deck and hatch covers.

Wednesday, November 7
14:00 – 15:15 - Visitors split into two groups going in opposite directions around the ship
15:30 – 16:15 - Visitors split into two groups going in opposite directions around the ship

Thursday, November 8
09:30 – 10:45 - Visitors split into two groups going in opposite directions around the ship
11:00 – 12:15 - Visitors split into two groups going in opposite directions around the ship

Complimentary bus transportation will be provided to and from the ship that will be docked at nearby Leith. If you are interested in this unique technical tour opportunity, please indicate so during online meeting registration. Please also complete the security questionnaire for tour access.
