RERTR-2018 International Meeting
Nov. 4-7, 2018, Edinburgh, Scotland
The U.S. Department of Energy / National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Material Management and Minimization Conversion Program is hosting the "RERTR-2018 International Meeting" to be held in Edinburgh, Scotland at the Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa on November 4-7, 2018.
Information will be exchanged at RERTR-2018 on the progress of national and international programs to develop low-enriched uranium (LEU) fuels, conversion analysis studies and licensing to convert research and test reactors to the use of such fuels. The meeting's technical subjects will include development of new LEU fuels, design and safety analyses for reactor conversions, and transportation and storage of fresh LEU and spent highly-enriched uranium (HEU) fuels.
The overall International Meeting schedule is as follows:
- November 4: Registration (4:30 – 6 p.m.) and Welcome Reception (6 – 8 p.m.)
- November 5-7: Technical Sessions
Technical and policy experts interested in attending the meeting must register on-line prior to the registration deadline of October 29, 2018. Participants having interest in any of the LEU conversion topics listed above are encouraged to present a paper at the meeting. Please indicate your intention to submit a paper by completing the Abstract Submittal and Publication release forms found here and submitting them along with an abstract of the paper no later than September 28, 2018.
