Student Participation Travel Grants
DOE-NNSA Office of Material Management and Minimization (M3) is offering domestic travel grants to qualified U.S. based university students with demonstrated interests and research experience compatible with the objectives and purpose of the M3 Reactor Conversion program and the RERTR-2023 International Meeting.
This is an excellent opportunity for the RERTR community to share our 43rd instance with the next generation of technical and policy professionals in the non-proliferation workforce. The student grants are aimed to stimulate attendance and participation in this year's event. The award is intended to cover air travel within the United States, lodging and a daily food stipend.
Criteria for Selection and Expectations
Students awarded a travel grant are expected to present their work in a poster session at the meeting and may also make an oral presentation with 2-3 slides preceding the poster session.
Applicants must submit a Student Travel Grant Application Form ( 18KB) along with an Abstract of their presentation and a Publication Release to by October 1, 2023. These forms are provided within the Forms & Deadlines page of this website.
The Student Selection Committee will notify grant recipients by October 5, 2023 whether they have received a Student Travel award along with instructions as to how to proceed with making their travel arrangements through the RERTR-2023 International Meeting Organizing Committee at email [email protected]. Award recipients should not make any travel arrangements prior to hearing from the organizing committee.
