RERTR-2017 International Meeting

The U.S. Department of Energy / National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Material Management and Minimization Conversion Program is hosting the "RERTR-2017 International Meeting" to be held in Chicago, IL USA at the Embassy Suites Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile Hotel on November 12-16, 2017.
Information will be exchanged at RERTR-2017 on the progress of national and international programs to develop low-enriched uranium (LEU) fuels, conversion analysis studies and licensing to convert research and test reactors to the use of such fuels. The meeting's technical subjects will include development of new LEU fuels, design and safety analyses for reactor conversions, and transportation and storage of fresh LEU and spent HEU fuels.
The overall International Meeting schedule is as follows:
- November 12: Registration (4:30 – 6 p.m.) and Welcome Reception (6 – 8 p.m.)
- November 13-15: Technical Sessions
- November 16: Technical Tour of selected Argonne National Laboratory facilities
Technical and policy experts interested in attending the meeting must register on-line prior to the registration deadline of November 6, 2017. Participants having interest in any of the LEU conversion topics listed above are encouraged to present a paper at the meeting. Please indicate your intention to submit a paper by completing the Abstract Submittal and Publication release forms found here and submitting them along with an abstract of the paper no later than October 6, 2017.
