RERTR-2016 International Meeting
Oct. 23-27, Antwerp, Belgium
The U.S. Department of Energy / National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Material Management and Minimization Conversion Program is hosting the "RERTR-2016 International Meeting" to be held in Antwerp, Belgium at the Radisson Blu Astrid Hotel on October 23-27, 2016.
Information will be exchanged at the 37th RERTR-2016 International Meeting on the progress of national and international programs to develop low-enriched uranium (LEU) fuels and conversion analysis studies to convert research and test reactors to the use of such fuels. The meeting's technical subjects will include development of new LEU fuels, design and safety analyses for reactor conversions, and transportation and storage of spent fuels. The overall International Meeting schedule is as follows:
- October 23: Registration (4:30 – 6 p.m.) and Welcome Reception (6 – 8 p.m.)
- October 24-26: Technical Sessions
- October 27: Technical Tour of selected SCK-CEN facilities in Mol, Belgium
Technical and policy experts interested in attending the meeting must register online prior to the registration deadline of October 10, 2016. Participants having interest in any of the LEU conversion topics listed above are encouraged to present a paper at the meeting. Please indicate your intention to submit a paper by completing the Abstract Submittal and Publication release forms found here and submitting them along with an abstract of the paper no later than September 9, 2016.
