ABSTRACT
A procedure for searching the equilibrium core of a research reactor has been proposed. The searching procedure is based on the relaxation method and has been implemented in Batan-EQUIL-2D in-core fuel management code. The few-group neutron diffusion theory in 2-D, X-Y, and R-Z reactor geometries are adopted as the framework of the code. The successful applicability of the procedure for obtaining the new RSG-GAS (MPR-30) silicide equilibrium core was shown.
