The U.S. Department of Energy / National Nuclear Security Administration’s Office of Material Management and Minimization (M3) will host the “RERTR-2015 International Meeting on Reduced Enrichment for Research and Test Reactors” with the support of the IAEA. The 36th International Meeting on Reduced Enrichment for Research and Test Reactors is also supported by the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) and organized by Argonne National Laboratory and Idaho National Laboratory. The meeting will be held at the Plaza Hotel Seoul in Seoul, South Korea from 11-14 October 2015. Technical tours of KAERI’s HANARO Research Reactor and the HANARO Fuel Fabrication Facility are planned for the following day, 15 October. Bus transportation will be provided.

Information will be exchanged on the progress of national and international programs to develop low-enriched uranium (LEU) fuels and conversion analysis studies to convert research and test reactors to the use of such fuels. The meeting’s technical subjects will include development of new LEU fuels, design and safety analyses for reactor conversions, and transportation and storage of spent fuels.

Technical and policy experts interested in attending the meeting must register on-line prior to the registration deadline on October 1, 2015. Other information to facilitate attendance and participation in the meeting is available on this website.

Participants having interest in any of the LEU conversion topics listed above are encouraged to present a paper at the meeting. Please indicate your intention to submit a paper by completing the Abstract Submittal form found on this web site and submitting it along with an abstract of the paper no later than September 15, 2015.
