The 2006 International RERTR Meeting
THE RERTR-2006 INTERNATIONAL MEETING ON
REDUCED ENRICHMENT FOR RESEARCH AND TEST REACTORS
October 29 - November 2, 2006
The U.S. Department of Energy / National Nuclear Security Administration's Office of Global Threat Reduction hosted the RERTR-2006 International Meeting on Reduced Enrichment for Research and Test Reactors (RERTR). The conference was jointly organized by the South African Nuclear Energy Corporation (Necsa) and Argonne National Laboratory and was held October 29 through November 2, 2006 at the Southern Sun Cape Sun Hotel in Cape Town, Republic of South Africa. It was the 28th annual meeting in a series on the same general subject regarding the RERTR program. The international meeting was attended by 142 scientists, engineers, and administrators from countries throughout the world. Over seventy technical papers were presented at the conference, and a post-meeting tour of the SAFARI-1 reactor and other Necsa facilities was well attended.
The abstracts and full papers are being collected and will be provided on the RERTR web site when complete.
